Some time ago I showed the three-volume complete works of Arne Jacobsen by Felix Solaguren-Beascoa, a set that is strong on the visual part but lacks a deeper biographical insight. This gap between work and life of Arne Jacobsen is filled by Carsten Thau & Kjeld Vindums tome „Arne Jacobsen“, published in 2002 by @danish_architectural_press. The authors focus on the dual career of Jacobsen between architecture and design and with their monograph provide a groundbreaking narration of the artists life and times. Alongside Jacobsens biography key works are being discussed and an extensive work catalogue rounds off this massive book. So if you have to choose between this book and the previously mentioned work catalogue by Solaguren-Beascoa Id probably recommend the present book because it evaluates Jacobsen in greater detail.
